I love color so much that I rarely get a chance to shoot in black and white. When I do B&W photography it's always a special moment because somehow the absence of color always gives a timeless quality to an image. It also challenges me as a photographer to create a vibe primarily through the subjects natural expressions and my lighting.
For that reason, I had a blast doing this coming of age birthday photoshoot with the lovely Scorpio, Erica Mena, who turned 30 on November 7th, 2017. The goal of this shoot was to capture her strength, vulnerability, beauty and passion as a mother and as a woman. From the looks of the final images I think we can say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
